HWA conducts various activities in the slums it has adopted as part of Udhbav project (Slum Adoption project).
A focused approach is undertaken in the 2 Slums (at Sevanagar and Hegdenagar) to empower the families there. Various assistance are provided to the families based on the surveys conducted. Educational support, Housing support, Monthly Ration, Eye camps, Monthly medical camps and various other activities are conducted.
Beyond the activities at Udhbav, HWA also provides Educational scholarships for orphans in various places across Bangalore. It also provides monthly ration and medicine for poor people – specially for old aged, orphans, widows etc.
Empowering children by providing Mentorship and Career guidance are also conducted very efficiently.

Disaster Management
HWA could extend a good support to the affected people during the floods in Chennai and kerala. Relief items worth Rs. 90 lakhs were provided during the relief activities in kerala and chennai.
During COVID lockdown HWA worked under Mercy Mission (federation of NGO’s) and could bring relief to migrant labourers, people who lost jobs, covid affected patients, elders etc.
Mentoring and Education Scholarship
We provide scholarship to students to pursue their education at high school level and higher education.

130 families in 5 different locations are supported with ration every month

Renovation of houses are also done as per the requirement.
